Redfield has many wonderful volunteers that are critical for the betterment of all residents! The Redfield Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that we are gathering nominations for the Citizen Volunteer of the Year Award for 2025.

Criteria: community involvement, service projects, activities, civic organizations, etc…

Nomination applications are available at City Hall and may be picked up, completed and returned by April 20, 2026. Winner will be announced on April 30, 2026 at the Chamber’s Annual Member Mixer.

The Pheasant Capital of the World®

Redfield is the first recorded place in South Dakota to successfully introduce the Chinese Ringneck Pheasant. This lead to the first open season on October 30, 1919. From Spink County, pheasant hunting grew throughout the state. Hunters still flock to Redfield to bag their limit.
