TO CUT GRASS & WEEDS

You are hereby notified to cut the grass or weeds on any un-mowed lot or tract of land in the City of Redfield and that said property is to be mowed and trimmed throughout the growing season in a timely manner.  Failure to do so will result in the City mowing the property and assessing the costs to the property.  Two days notice to mow and trim will be given before the City will mow the area.  The fee for mowing by City crews is $100.00 per mowing or $100.00 per hour, whichever is greater.

By Order of the Redfield City Council this 16th day of April 2025.

The Pheasant Capital of the World®

Redfield is the first recorded place in South Dakota to successfully introduce the Chinese Ringneck Pheasant. This lead to the first open season on October 30, 1919.  From Spink County, pheasant hunting grew throughout the state.  Hunters still flock to Redfield to bag their limit.
