Love is On the Air

To solidify your standing as The Best Ever, be sure to give KQKD Radio a ring and dedicate your favorite love song or sentimental score to your sweetheart.

“We are very happy to have an all-American town here in Redfield where valentines, local sports, proms, and harvest festivals matter,” said KQKD’s Peter John. “Redfield is an ideal happy place. We are honored to share requested love song dedications for your Valentine.”

Listeners can call the station at 605-475-3002 between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Friday, February 14th, to dedicate their favorite ballad. And if you’re having trouble picking a song to express those feelings of love and adoration, John’s got you covered. “I don’t think you can go wrong with ‘The Best’ by Tina Turner and ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ by Rick Astley,” he said.

Redfield Carnegie Library

Still providing library service to the citizens of Redfield, the Redfield Carnegie Library has the distinction of being the oldest Carnegie in continuous use as a library in South Dakota.  The Redfield Carnegie Library began as a reading club with members buying books to circulate. A $10,000 endowment from the Andrew Carnegie Foundation was awarded in March 1902.
