Seasonal Positions Wanted

The City of Redfield is now accepting applications for the following summer seasonal positions: aquatic supervisor, water safety instructor, assistant pool manager, lifeguards, pool front desk/concession stand workers, recreation assistants; Street Department summer maintenance workers, park caretaker, ball diamond caretaker, and Hav-a-rest Campground Host.

Applications and job descriptions may be picked up at City Hall at 626 Main Street, Redfield, SD, 605- 472-4550, or Park & Rec. Office located in the Armory at 309 3^rd St. W, Redfield, SD. Some positions require a minimum age of 18 in accordance with South Dakota Child Labor Laws. The closing date will be 5:00 pm on Friday, January 26, 2024.

Redfield is the first recorded place in South Dakota to successfully introduce the Chinese Ringneck Pheasant. This lead to the first open season on October 30, 1919. From Spink County, pheasant hunting grew throughout the state. Hunters still flock to Redfield to bag their limit.
